If you have been curious about Botox but feel a little unsure, you are in good company. It is one of the most common treatments we perform, and also one of the most misunderstood. Here is exactly what happens at a first visit, so you can decide with confidence.
It starts with a conversation
Before anything else, we talk. We want to understand what is bothering you, what you hope to see, and just as importantly, what you want to avoid. This is where we set expectations honestly. If a line is better addressed another way, we will tell you.
The treatment itself
The treatment is quick, usually ten to fifteen minutes. Using a very fine needle, we place small amounts of product precisely into the muscles that create expression lines. Most patients describe it as a series of tiny pinches. There is no need for numbing, and you can return to your day right away.
What to avoid afterward
We will give you simple aftercare guidance: stay upright for a few hours, avoid rubbing the area, and skip strenuous exercise for the rest of the day. That is really all there is to it.
When you will see results
Botox works gradually. You will begin to notice a softening in three to five days, with the full result at about two weeks. It is normal to not see much on day one, so please do not worry. Results typically last three to four months.
Our promise: natural, never frozen
The fear we hear most is looking frozen or overdone. That simply is not our style. We use the smallest effective amount, placed thoughtfully, so you keep your natural expressions and simply look rested.
